‘It is better to travel alone than to join a tour group.’

Irrefutably, after being forced to work hard, most people’s affinity for travelling is to get mental and physical relaxation. However, what is your preference – to tour in a group or travel alone?
For me, joining a tour group instead of travelling alone is an absolute no brainer. As a down-to-earth person, touring in a group provides substantial advantages. When it comes to travelling, safety must be everyone’s first concern. To begin with, we won’t need to take care of the way as there will be at least one tour guide walking ahead with a little flag held in his hand. Even when we are so unfortunate as to get lost, we can always look around and spot the flag. Besides, as there are other tour members around, we can get help from others when we get hurt or get sick. Moreover, the travel insurance will be provided. Some people might argue that we can buy it ourselves. However, the agency has more experience in choosing which policy is suitable for us than we do. It will be safer when there is an experienced helper.
Besides safety, the convenience that is brought by touring in a group is definitely more than can be had by travelling alone. Surely, the activities will be perfectly planned for us. Not only the events, but the hotels, our meals, coaches etc. will also be booked. It saves our time on dealing with these plans. Furthermore, we will have an action-packed schedule and the atmosphere will be so lively. Since the schedule will be fantastic, I believe we will have a fruitful journey. Lastly, compared to travelling alone, we don’t really need to spend time searching for information online as we will be given a brochure about the places, or even the history of the buildings and so on.
In addition to the aforementioned benefits of touring in a group, the purpose is also an essential element. When we want to learn or improve our communication skill, touring in a group must be a better choice as we need to interact with our groupmates. Not only is there interaction, but was share with them and make friends by touring together. As the saying goes “A shared joy is a double joy.” Also, we always say that travel broadens our mind, and travelling can broaden our horizons. Undeniably, whether we choose to travel alone or join a group we will also get the job done. Nevertheless, we can only acquire a limited amount of knowledge. In contrast, by interacting with our groupmates, we can gain more than just knowledge from books. Last but not least, most people want to travel with their family or friends in order to improve their relationship. Seldom do I see a family having dinner together with active communication going on. Instead, each of them has a mobile device to occupy their attention. So, if we really want to have a better relationship, we should take our family or friends to join a tour group and have face-to-face communication along with the spectacular views.
To conclude, never will I agree that it is better to travel alone than tour in a group. Think long and hard about what you will choose if you have to make this decision. Travelling is a group is always a better choice.
