Recently, many teenagers are involved in crimes. The teenage crime rate is on the rise. In this article, I will talk about the reasons and suggest ways to combat this problem.
Why do so many teens commit crimes? There are many reasons. One important reason is that teens are in poverty. Some of them have dropped out of school and been unemployed for a long time. Since they feel a sense of frustration, they commit crimes in order to make quick money.
Many studies have found that most law offenders are from broken families or economically-challenged families. It is shown that those parents are too busy at work and have little time to look after their children. So, it is easy for them to commit crimes.
How can we combat this problem? Firstly, the government should encourage moral education and promote civic education to the teenagers. In addition, teachers should inculcate the negative consequences of committing crimes to students. As parents, they should keep an eye on their children. Also, they should know that children are more important than money.
Having taken all these factors into account, we may reasonably draw the conclusion that teenagers should not commit crimes. If young people have a criminal record, it is not easy for them to find a reputable job. So we should work together to help those kids who have indulged in illegal activities.
