I would like to express my concern about the problems of compensated dating, taking drugs and dating with friends online. In light of the seriousness of the situation, I would like to analyze the causes and effects and suggest ways to eradicate these problems head-on.
Why are teens immersed in these activities? The primary reason is that they are lonesome. Since many parents spend agreat deal of time on their work, they may neglect the needs of their children. Teenagers who lack parental love and attention
are more likely to commit crimes.
Secondly, teens have impressionable minds. Out of curiosity, if teens have nothing meaningful to occupy their time, theywill be tempted easily by criminal activities. What’s more, teenagers are easily influenced by their friends. If their friends ask them to take part in such activities as taking drugs and doing compensated dating, they may not refuse them since they are afraid that they will pour ridicule on them. As we know, teens are undergoing puberty changes, they cannot stay calm when they are humiliated by others. As a result, teens will undoubtedly get involved in these activities owing to the peer pressure.
There is no denying that it is not sensible of teens to take part in these activities as they do more harm than good. For example, taking drugs will lead to memory loss, depression, sleeping problem, tension, panic and so on. Besides, working as compensated dating girls, some teens may contract venereal diseases. Consequently, it is absolutely not wise of teens to get involved in these activities.
Facing these serous problems, we have to find some ways to crack down on them before things are getting out of hand. It is believed that the government, schools and parents also have the responsibility to fight against the problems.
Firstly, parents should not only focus on their work, they should also communicate more with their children in order to build up a harmonious relationship with them. If parents show genuine concern for them, they will not easily get involved in these activities.
As for teachers, they should encourage students to take part in team sports as they can give youngsters a sense of belonging and a sense of achievement. In addition, teachers should not only tell them the negative consequences of these teen problems, but also develop students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills. Also, they should pay more attention to the moral education. Thus, teens will not participate in such activities.
As to the government, they should impose serious punishments on these activities. Also, the police should step up measures against them. For example, they should appoint more plainclothesmen to patrol in the streets and parks at night.
As the old saying goes, “Prevention is better than cure”, it is imperative for teens to know the legal consequences of these problems. I strongly believe that these problems will be solved as long as families, schools and the government work hand in hand to help those teens who have indulged in such activities.
