Dear Editor,
I am writing to show my agreement to the adoption of small class teaching in my school as it is a good teaching method for students’ learning.
First of all, small class teaching allows teachers to pay more attention to each student. Under the situation that when there are too many students in a class, teachers are unable to take care of all the students. In contrast, small class teaching enables teachers to have better care and respond to students’ questions which can help students learn better.
In addition, small class teaching can help teachers know more about the students. With a smaller number of students in a class, teachers are able to spend more time to communicate with them. They can help students on their schoolwork and provide appropriate teaching strategies to cater to their learning diversity. It is good for students’ learning in school.
Not only does the small class teaching benefit students, but it also benefits teachers. Nowadays, due to that fact that there are many students in a normal class, teachers need to solve many problems in their daily routine which puts them under great pressure. If the small class teaching is adopted, teachers can have more time to rest or communicate with students. This can help them relax.
Last but not least, small class teaching can foster more talents of the society. It is helpful to the development of the society. It is because this method helps nurture students with all-round development which is an important asset of Hong Kong’s future.
In conclusion, small class teaching is good for students’ learning and the future development of Hong Kong. It is wise of my school to implement this policy.
Yours sincerely,
Cai Linzhe
